The county of Chun'an in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province recently won the honorary title of a "Global Green City" at the 11th Global Forum on Human Settlement (GFHS) in Quito, Ecuador.

Together with Vienna (Austria), Cuenca (Ecuador), Oakland, CA (the United States) and other renowned cities around the world, Chun'an came under the global spotlight for its many excellent aspects.

Qiandao Lake, or Thousand-Island Lake is a big purifier for the air in the Chun'an. Mountains and waters here maintain a livable temperature for local residents. There's no chance for fog and haze to envelop even an inch of the land in Chun'an.

As a lakeside county, Chun'an has always promoted the construction of infrastructure. The lighting projects along Qiandao Lake are built to create the glittery effect of city lights here. Riding on greenways around the lake, Qiandao Bridge and other roads with beautiful scenery in Chun'an is a good choice for cyclists to observe its beauty.

The superior natural environment in Chun'an attracts many sports events such as an international road cycling race and the 10 km Marathon Swimming World Cup. Athletes from around the world gather beside Qiandao Lake to thoroughly show their sportsmanship.
