Cities in Zhejiang enter the list of China's happiest

(ezhejiang.gov.cn) Updated : 2017-12-11

Ningbo

Ningbo is the second largest city in Zhejiang. The disposable income per capita has increased to 51,560 yuan ($7,790) annually from 34,058 yuan in 2011. For rural residents, that number has increased to 28,571 yuan.

In recent years, Ningbo has announced policies for the improvement of its aquatic environment, air pollution, architecture and road network. Ningbo is now a pilot area for the construction of ecological civilization, low-carbon cities and sponge cities.

It is the eighth time Ningbo has been chosen as one of the happiest cities in China.

Taizhou

Taizhou is a national tourist city with two 5A scenic areas – Shenxianjun and Tiantai Mountain. Adorned with lush mountains and clear waters, the city is abundant in natural and beautiful villages.

In Taizhou, people's sense of happiness is reflected in small moments: vehicles giving way to pedestrians or the prevalence of voluntary services.
