As China marks the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up this year, informative brochures featuring the achievements of Zhejiang province during the past four decades have been published in six languages by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang.

With an emphasis on statistics, open platforms, major activities and companies in the province, the brochures highlight its economic and trade development, as well as governmental work in the province in six languages, namely, Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, German and Czech.

The e-brouchures are available to view on the Department of Commerce of Zheijang Province website, with the Chinese version also available via WeChat.

It is hoped the brochures will "depict a more colorful and open Zhejiang", and facilitate further exchanges with the world.

Zhejiang, an eastern coastal province of China, has witnessed robust growth in its overall economic development in recent years.

Data from the commerce department shows that in 2017, the total import and export value hit 2.56 trillion yuan ($402.32 billion) with a year-on-year increase of 15.3 percent, ranking fourth nationwide.

The GDP per capita also witnessed a 6.6 percent increase, reaching 92,057 yuan.

By following its own development model which encourages entrepreneurship, the "Zhejiang model", the province has generated an agglomeration effect in foreign investment by introducing multinational companies and international projects to its economic and technological development zones.

By the end of 2017, foreign enterprises have invested 61,080 projects in Zhejiang, 581 of which are funded by 179 Global Fortune 500 companies.
