A troupe of artists from Taizhou, Zhejiang province presented a show of folk music and dances in Kielce, a city in south central Poland on Sept 1, which won cheers and applause from the Polish audience.

At the invitation of Kielce's Mayor Wojciech Lubawski who paid a visit to the East China city in May, the troupe prepared their most distinctive performances which combined Chinese traditional culture and modern performing arts, including tea art demonstration, Chinese musical instruments, operas and hip-hop dance.

On the sideline of the show, a photo exhibition showcasing the landscapes of Taizhou was also arranged for visitors.

Lubawski spoke highly of the performances by the Taizhou troupe and extended his hope of further exchanges and cooperation in the economy, education and culture between the two cities.
