A center to serve Zhejiang entrepreneurs in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) was established in Shanghai on Jan 3 with the aim of consolidating the strengths and advantages of those involved to further push forward the integrated development of the delta area.

The decision was announced at a forum in Shanghai for Zhejiang entrepreneurs. During the event, Wang Junjin, chairman of JuneYao Group, was elected as the new leader of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai.

Over 600,000 Zhejiang entrepreneurs active in the metropolis have served as an important engine to boost the integrated development of YRD. They have been benefitting from the city's inclusive culture, while promoting the connections between Zhejiang and Shanghai.

A platform to serve the development of the YRD region and Zhejiang entrepreneurs, the center will take full advantage of resources to attract more high-quality Zhejiang entrepreneurs.

"Both Shanghai and Zhejiang are pioneers in implementing China's reform and opening-up policy. Zhejiang gave us the courage to take the lead and Shanghai gave us a broad mind," Wang said.

Established in 1986, Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai is an organization that has grown up with Zhejiang entrepreneurs in Shanghai and a witness to China's reform and opening-up course. Its members include quite a few industry leaders in China such as Fosun International, JuneYao Group and YTO Express.
