The 2019 High-Level Central Eastern Europe (CEE) Experts Matchmaking Conference was held in Shaoxing on March 7. A delegation led by academicians from Ukraine and Belarus had in-depth technical exchanges with 86 enterprises in the city.

As a significant part of the activities of the Foreign Experts' Visit to Shaoxing series, the conference invited 11 foreign academicians and high-level experts from universities and institutes including the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Belarusian National Technical University. The experts brought 19 technology projects that are mainly focused on intelligent manufacturing and new materials.

After observing the project roadshows, more than 100 enterprise representatives negotiated on-site with the experts, and reached a follow-up cooperation intention on 16 technical projects.

"We used to seek cooperation via inquiring experts from foreign customers when encountering a technical bottleneck. Now the government has created such a platform, making it more convenient for enterprises to have direct communications with experts," said Wang Jilong, general manager of Zhejiang Ningwei Technology Co Ltd.

"At present, Shaoxing is in urgent need of technologies and talents, especially international high-level talents who have mastered key core technologies and are able to lead the development of emerging industries," an official from Shaoxing science and technology bureau said. "We will do a better job in introducing talents and providing strong technology and talent support for enterprises to achieve high-quality development."
