Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, will welcome its fourth annual International Economic and Trade Fair from Sept 10 to 20.

Hosted by the local Party committee and government, the fair is designed to promote the investment in Tongxiang and boost cooperation in advanced manufacturing and digital economy. 

Unlike previous ones, this year's fair will focus on promoting the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region, efficient industrial cooperation and a global perspective, said Wu Weiqiang, deputy director of the government office of Tongxiang.

A series of forums and other activities focusing on YRD integration will be held during the 10-day event. 

Notably, a salon for foreign residents in Tongxiang will be held for the first time in the history of the event. The salon aims to facilitate communication and friendship between expats in Tongxiang and improve the business climate for local foreign companies by listening to and addressing their needs.

According to local authorities, more than 30 projects worth 15 billion yuan ($2.09 billion) will be signed during the fair.
