The provincial government of Zhejiang signed an agreement with the National Bureau of Statistics on Sept 18 to jointly build a statistics big data application center, local media reported.

According to the agreement, the center will employ advanced technologies in order to boost technological innovation and international communication, facilitate cooperation among global statistics circles, and promote the reform and innovation of statistics mechanisms.

Specifically, the two sides will fully leverage their own advantages in statistics and data economy, explore several application models of statistics big data, and carry out projects to cultivate more talents.
