The City Alliance for the Integrated Development of Talents was recently established in the Yangtze River Delta region to strengthen the inter-connectivity of cities in the region.

The integrated development of the region was formally selected as a national strategy in this year's central government annual report in March. 

The alliance is part of the region's effort to implement the strategy and promote regional talent development, said officials.

According to the plan, the alliance will implement a rotating chief city mechanism, and Jiaxing in Zhejiang province, as the founding member of the alliance, will serve as the first chief. 

An initiative proposed by Jiaxing was approved at the first joint session of the alliance on its founding day, which focuses on guiding principles, reform and innovation, and service improvement in talent development.
