China's first application center for its homegrown satellite navigation system Beidou will begin operations in Wuzhen town, Tongxiang, Zhejiang province, in a few days, just before the sixth World Internet Conference opens in the town on Oct 20.

The center was launched earlier in April at the 2019 Global Industrial Internet Conference in Wuzhen.

The center will showcase the history of Beidou as well as some of the cutting-edge Beidou navigation products, according to organizers.

Visitors will have the chance to learn about space equipment through an electronic touch screen.
