Forum promotes Zhejiang-German digital economic cooperation

The third China (Zhejiang)-Europe (Germany) Digital Economy & High-tech Industry Match-making Conference was held at the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on Nov 6.

The summit was attended by 191 senior executives from 97 German companies and 457 executives from 336 Zhejiang enterprises.

The companies specialize mainly in artificial intelligence, intelligent medical care, big data, environmental protection, financial technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, and media, among other things.

Eight executives shared their ideas about digital economy and high-tech industry, including Xing Yue, vice-president of Alibaba, Thomas Brenner, executive vice president of Siemens, Mike J. Redding, managing director of Accenture Ventures, and Andreas Hube, vice president of SAP. 

A total of 33 projects worth $5.7 billion were inked.
