The 2019 Sleemon Shaoxing International Marathon was held in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province on Nov 10, attracting more than 25,000 participants from 68 countries and regions.

The event, now in its third year, was hosted by the Chinese Athletics Association, the sports department of Zhejiang province and the government of Shaoxing.

The route passes by many of the city's famous scenic spots, cultural sites and urban landmarks.

This year's event surpassed previous years in terms of organization and services, with nearly 400 referees, 4,000 volunteers, and 18 supply depots providing plenty of food and beverages along the route, including several local special delicacies.

A medical team of more than 1,300 people was set up, and 26 ambulances and 30 medical stations were prepared to offer real-time medical services to participants in need.

In addition, over 6,000 policemen were present to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
