Zhejiang has made significant efforts to help companies resume work in recent days, including sending chartered buses and trains to pick up employees from outside the province.

"We can see that Zhejiang is trying to recover its economy and get a head start in future development," said Pan Yigang, chief researcher at the Zhejiang Development and Planning Institute.

"The projects show the direction of future economic development," said Lan Jianping, director of the Zhejiang Institute of Industry and Information Technology, expressing belief that major projects are an effective investment that drives industrial structural adjustment and economic transformation.

An official from the provincial development and reform commission agreed, saying that the projects will channel funds towards key areas and boost innovation in the manufacturing sector.

Li Shufu, president of Geely Auto, said that Geely will drive development through innovation and promote reform in mobility. The company is working to build a satellite assembly, integration and testing (AIT) center in Taizhou.

Taizhou authorities said the project will boost the local aerospace industry as well as overall economic growth.

Digital technologies are also helping to guarantee that construction on the projects goes smoothly.

Zhejiang launched an online platform to review and monitor all of the projects, which greatly streamlined administrative procedures. It took less than a month for the 20GWh battery project being carried out by Litian Wanshi to fulfill all the necessary requirements with the help of the platform.

Last year, the province launched a digital map for usable land so that investors can easily choose the ideal land for projects.

Many of the projects will use land that investors found using the map.

"The map is an important part of Zhejiang's reform in resource allocation," said an official from the provincial development and reform commission.
