Jinhua, Zhejiang province recently invited nearly 100 Jinhua-born college administrators to encourage college graduates to come and work in the city at an online job fair.

"My hometown Jinhua is a hotbed for entrepreneurship. I encourage you all to work and live in the city," said Luo Youqing, vice-president of the Beijing Forestry University.

Other college administrators include Pan Jianwei, executive-vice-president of the University of Science and Technology of China, Zhu Shiqiang, deputy Party chief of Zhejiang University, Xu Qinghong, director of the organization department of the Party committee of Tsinghua University, and Wu Gang, vice-president of Southeast University.

"We want to better match college graduates with jobs through the activity," said an organizer in Jinhua.

More than 30,000 Jinhua-born skilled workers currently work outside the city, including 43 academicians and over 100 college leaders.

Nearly 4,000 major companies in Jinhua offered over 100,000 jobs at the online fair, involving multiple areas such as digital economy, bio-medicine and optoelectronics. Some offer a high annual salary of more than 500,000 yuan ($71,108), with the highest reaching 1.5 million yuan.

Jinhua also launched 20 favorable policies focusing on finance, tax, housing, child schooling and medical care for those who choose to work in the city, such as reducing rent costs by 50 percent for three and a half years and offering a 30 percent discount on home purchases.
