Shaoxing launches travel routes to promote tea culture

Shaoxing, Zhejiang province recently launched 10 travel routes, allowing visitors the chance to enjoy local tea and learn about tea culture.

The 10 travel routes include some of the city's best tea gardens, scenic spots and places of historic interest.

Shaoxing has a long tradition of producing tea dating back to the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220). Shaoxing Tea was so famous in the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911) that it was mass exported to other countries.
