In addition to receiving governmental support, some companies, especially those involved in the intelligent manufacturing and healthcare industries, have been transforming their business models and focusing more on innovation in response to the epidemic.

Qijin Textile Co in Lanxi, a county-level city in Jinhua, has been upgrading its equipment and methods since last June. As a result, the company received 10 new clients amid the epidemic.

By the end of 2019, Zhejiang was home to around 2.22 million small and micro-sized companies, which accounted for 87.7 percent of all companies in the province.

Small and micro-sized companies suffered most from the epidemic, facing many problems related to funding, labor, supplies, and transportation.

In Yueqing, a county-level city in Wenzhou, the local government made specific plans for all industrial parks focusing on small and micro-sized companies and helped them resume operations.

Some industrial parks turned to digital technology to enhance efficiency, including one logistics park in Yongkang, a county-level city in Jinhua, which has been digitalizing every part of the process from warehousing to delivery.

Eight industrial parks for small and micro-sized companies have now returned to full capacity in Yongkang.

In addition, Tunsheng, a robot tech company in Taizhou, cooperated with universities to help other local companies automate manufacturing and save money.
