Zhejiang to implement favorable policies for Taiwan companies

Zhejiang province recently released guidelines for implementing the 26 measures issued by the national government last November to boost cross-Straits economic and cultural cooperation.

The guidelines include 40 articles focusing on treating Taiwan companies and residents the same as locals, such as allowing them to participate in building industrial innovation centers, engineering research centers, enterprise R&D centers and industrial design centers. It gives details as to how the province will implement the 26 measures as well as the qualifications and materials companies must have to enjoy the benefits.

The Taiwan affairs office of Zhejiang also launched several measures previously to help Taiwan companies resume operations during the COVID-19 epidemic.

According to local authorities, they will continue to improve services for Taiwan companies, such as helping them secure more funds and supporting them in innovation.
