A boat race is held on a lake in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province at the 2020 Jiaxing Duanwu Folk Customs Cultural Festival on June 24 (Duanwu in Chinese refers to the Dragon Boat Festival). Various activities have been held throughout Zhejiang province over the past few days to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.

To curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, many activities throughout the province were broadcast online. This meant that people can watch the boat race, dragon dance and lantern show simultaneously online.

Many opera shows were also performed, including one that combined five operas from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui.
