The Ningbo municipal government hosted a news conference on Aug 25 to provide an update on the COVID-19 epidemic control measures in the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.

At present, epidemic prevention measures have been fully upgraded in the Meishan Port area and other related areas in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.

Three rounds of all-inclusive COVID-19 nucleic acid testing have been completed in the Baifeng and Meishan sub-districts, with 134,054 individuals tested. All results were negative.

Based on the evaluations of epidemic control officials and experts in Beilun district and Ningbo city, authorities will be gradually loosening epidemic control measures in Beilun district.

Since Aug 18, internet cafes, entertainment sites, cinemas, gyms, nightclubs, foot massage shops, and bath centers in Beilun district, except its Baifeng and Meishan sub-districts, have been allowed to resume businesses.

Epidemic control measures were lifted in the Baifeng sub-district on Aug 20. The measures in the Meishan sub-district were subsequently lifted on Aug 24.

Concentrated quarantine for those who have come into contact with COVID-19 patients will be lifted by Aug 25 as there has been no positive result following multiple nucleic acid testing.
