Zhejiang province launched a culture and tourism consumption season for Spring Festival in Huzhou on Feb 6, with the activities set to run through the end of March.
The consumption season features 10 categories, including traditional Spring Festival customs, performing arts, cuisine, and holiday shopping, along with 100 designated Spring Festival check-in destinations across the province.
More than 1,800 key activities are scheduled, including over 210 folk-custom experiences, 350 food-tasting events, more than 500 village gala performances, 240 major exhibitions, 130 trendy lifestyle events, and a range of sports competitions.
To stimulate spending, Zhejiang will roll out over 500 public-benefit measures across six categories during the season. About 35 million yuan ($5.01 million) in culture and tourism consumption vouchers will be distributed. From February to March, admission prices at some major scenic attractions will be discounted by up to 50 percent, with additional locally tailored incentives introduced by cities and counties.
Zhejiang is also coordinating with Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Anhui to offer 12 cross-regional Spring Festival-themed travel routes linking cultural and natural attractions across the Yangtze River Delta. Within the province, 12 themed leisure corridors and 50 group-tour routes will be launched.
