Lishui athlete claims silver at Climbing World Cup Bali 2025
Zhou Yafei, from Songyang county in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province, secured the silver medal on May 3 in the women's speed event at the IFSC Climbing World Cup Bali 2025, organized by the International Federation of Sport Climbing.
This achievement marks the fourth medal for Team China in this season's Climbing World Cup series.
This season began in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, and continued to Wujiang district, Suzhou, Jiangsu province, featuring bouldering, lead, and speed events. The third leg of the series took place in Bali, Indonesia.

The Bali competition started on May 2 and lasted three days, featuring both lead and speed events. A total of 212 climbers from 32 countries and regions participated. Team China fielded 16 athletes, including four for the lead events and 12 for the speed events.
In the women's speed finals, Zhou competed against world record holder Aleksandra Miroslaw from Poland. Miroslaw won the gold with a time of 6.37 sec, while Zhou took the silver. Indonesian climber Adi Asih Kadek earned the bronze.
