In Qingtian county – administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – farmers are still continuing an age-old custom. They celebrate the start of summer ploughing and sowing during Grain in Ear, or Mangzhong – the ninth of the 24 solar terms – inheriting and carrying forward their ancient farming culture.
