Lishui posts strong start to 2025 with 6.7 percent GDP growth in Q1

Lishui's economy maintained solid momentum in the first quarter of 2025, with its GDP reaching 52.84 billion yuan ($7.24 billion), up 6.7 percent year-on-year — outpacing both national and provincial growth rates.
Agriculture remained stable with a 3.5 percent rise in total output, while industrial production surged 11.3 percent, driven by strong gains in manufacturing and strategic emerging sectors. Service sector growth accelerated to 6.7 percent, led by robust performance in IT, logistics, and retail.
Fixed asset investment grew by 6.1 percent, boosted by infrastructure and equipment upgrades. Retail sales totaled 26.15 billion yuan, up 4.6 percent, with strong demand for home appliances, furniture, and new energy vehicles. Consumer prices remained stable, rising 0.4 percent year-on-year.
Residents' incomes also saw steady growth, with per capita disposable income up 6.2 percent, led by a 6.9 percent increase in rural areas.
Despite external challenges, Lishui's economy kicked the year off strong, laying a solid foundation for continued recovery and high-quality development.
