Lishui's athlete shines with bronze at Asian Mountain Bike Championships

Lei Ying, a native of Suichang county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, secured a bronze medal in the U23 women's category at the 2025 Asian Mountain Bike Championships.
The event, held from April 23-27 in Zunyi, Guizhou province, saw the Chinese athletes dominate the podium in both the U23 and junior categories.
The Asian Mountain Bike Championships are the premier mountain biking event in the region, attracting nearly 300 top athletes from 15 countries and regions across Asia. Competitors faced off on a challenging karst terrain course, showcasing the best of Asian mountain biking talent.

The U23 women's race took place on a grueling 4-kilometer Olympic Cross-Country track. This course, known for its winding paths, steep gradients, and varying elevations, tested riders' endurance and technical skills with its continuous technical obstacles.
Lei demonstrated remarkable resilience and skill, navigating the complex terrain and fierce competition to claim third place. Her performance highlighted the strength and determination of athletes from Suichang.
