Runsheng Bryophyta Sci-Tech in Lishui, Zhejiang province, exported 32 boxes of fresh moss to South Korea on Sept 4. This shipment marks the first export of fresh moss from Zhejiang province to South Korea.
Specializing in comprehensive moss research, production, and sales, the company utilizes advanced artificial cultivation technology and holds over 20 national patents. With a production base spanning more than 1,700 mu (113.33 hectares), it produces 400,000 square meters of moss annually.
Earlier this year, the company obtained Zhejiang's first export license for fresh moss. Its initial shipment to Singapore received a positive market response, which has since attracted growing international interest from buyers in South Korea and Japan.
Lishui customs provided comprehensive support throughout the export process, offering specialized guidance and implementing rigorous quality control measures.
Plant quarantine experts conducted thorough field inspections to improve harmful organism control protocols and ensure superior product quality. All exported moss underwent stringent testing through public inspection platforms to maintain international standards.
The company's overseas expansion is expected to increase production scale and raise local farmers' incomes. Since 2019, the company has partnered with over 500 rural households, helping increase their total income by more than 10 million yuan ($1.4 million).
