China Traditional She Medicine Valley, a major project in Jingning She autonomous county in Lishui, Zhejiang province, represents a total investment of 560 million yuan ($78.6 million).

It is an integrated traditional Chinese medicine health industry project combining the planting, production, and sales of She medicinal herbs. So far, the base has planted more than 1,200 mu (80 hectares) of various medicinal herbs. The aim is to expand the planting area to 10,000 mu.

By integrating commonly used She medicinal herbs and edible fungi, the project promotes the high-value development of the traditional She medicine health industry and contributes to rural vitalization and common prosperity.

In recent years, Jingning has developed the traditional She medicine industry vigorously. The county issued the traditional She medicine development ordinance in the form of local legislation, along with a series of supporting policies, to provide comprehensive guarantees for the healthy growth of the industry.

At the National Science and Technology Yard for Traditional She Medicine Anoectochilus Roxburghii, staff observe and record the growth of Anoectochilus roxburghii in the laboratory, and collaborate with farmers to improve cultivation and raise incomes.

In the first half of 2025, the total planting area of She medicinal materials in the county reached 96,000 mu, with an output of 542.5 metric tons and an output value exceeding 50 million yuan.
