Fourteen female students from Russia and Kazakhstan joined six local women for an immersive She ethnic culture experience from Nov 22 to 23 at a digital nomad community in Fuye village, Jingning She autonomous county, Lishui.

The visit began with self-introductions, where participants discussed hobbies, cultural differences, and future aspirations, fostering connections through conversations about Russian customs, Chinese traditions, and unique She ethnic customs.

The group then enjoyed a walk through the village, appreciating its serene mountains and natural scenery. Daulenova Sabina, a Kazakh student, described the landscape as breathtaking and recommended the area for its beauty and tranquility.

During their time together, the women celebrated a birthday, wore traditional She clothing, sang She songs, and sampled local She cuisine, strengthening their cross-cultural bonds.

Demidenko Ekaterina, a Russian student from Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, on her third visit to Jingning, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn about She culture, including its language, folk songs, and attire, and hoped to bring more friends in the future.

The female-focused digital nomad community, which integrates youth residency and rural vitalization, can host up to 50 nomads. Its first phase offers 25 beds and facilities, including a shared kitchen, swimming pool, study, and workspace.

Having been open for four months, it has already hosted over 1,000 female nomads, serving as a platform for work, life, and exchange.
