A China-Russia art exchange event commenced at Guyan Huaxiang Tourist Resort in Lishui, Zhejiang province, on Dec 5.

Seven distinguished artists from institutions including the Russian Academy of Arts and Herzen University are participating in an 11-day program featuring sketching, artistic dialogue, and online public sketching classes.

During the event, the artists will immerse themselves in Guyan Huaxiang's landscapes and cultural settings to capture the unique scenery along the Oujiang River and the charm of ancient villages.

Tourists have the opportunity to observe the masters at work and gain insights into their approaches to composition, color, and light. The activity also offers valuable exposure to world-class art education for aspiring students and oil painting enthusiasts.

A significant outcome of this exchange is the establishment of a sketching and creation base by the Saint Petersburg Artists' Union at Guyan Huaxiang.

This initiative extends beyond a one-time event, aiming to attract more Russian and international artists and students to the resort in the future. It seeks to position Guyan Huaxiang as an international hub for artistic creation and exchange, fostering ongoing cultural interaction between China and Russia.

This cross-border art dialogue is an important opportunity to deepen the integration of culture and tourism and to advance the local art industry.

Moving forward, the resort will continue to foster international art exchanges, allowing the natural and cultural beauty of Guyan Huaxiang to reach a wider global audience through the stroke of artistic brushes.
