Songyang county

Songyang county was founded in 199 (Eastern Han Dynasty: 25-220). It is a complete example of "classical China" counties, and it was described as "the last secret region in the south of the Yangtze River" by Chinese National Geography.
In 2025, Songyang has achieved a regional GDP of 18.374 billion yuan ($2.64 billion), up by 6.9 percent. The per capita disposable income growth rates of urban residents and rural residents were 5.7 percent and 6.3 percent, respectively.
