After the Spring Festival holiday, production lines are operating at full capacity at Zhejiang Sanjiangyuan Agricultural Development in Qingyuan county, Lishui, with workers busy sorting, processing, and packaging shiitake mushrooms.
Utilizing over 300 mu (20 hectares) of self-built bases in Qingyuan and three major production bases in Hebei, Henan, and Inner Mongolia, the company has overcome seasonal production constraints, ensuring a stable, year-round global supply of fresh shiitake mushrooms.
As a leading provincial agricultural enterprise integrating cultivation, processing, and sales, Sanjiangyuan adopts a business model that links farmers and production bases and implements standardized production practices.
The company has obtained international quality certifications, earning recognition from both domestic and international clients for its high product quality.
Ye Shengzhang, the company's head, said it specializes in fresh and dried shiitake mushrooms for both export and domestic markets. Its products are exported to the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia, with the US and South Korea accounting for 70 percent of export value.
Exports and domestic sales — through platforms like Freshippo, a domestic retail platform — each contribute half of the company's revenue.
The company's industrial park in Inner Mongolia covers more than 3,000 mu and is equipped with12 automated mushroom stick production lines with an annual capacity of 30 million sticks. Its total annual shiitake mushroom output exceeds 6,000 metric tons.
According to Ye, thanks to stable production capacity and smooth sales channels, the company's output value is expected to grow by 20 percent in 2026.
