New production equipment at Lishui Borda New Materials Technology in Liandu district in Lishui, Zhejiang province, is working to process rolls of synthetic leather into high-quality materials at a rapid rate of over 30 meters per minute.
These materials will eventually appear in products from international brands such as Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors.
According to Wang Chengwen, head of the company, Borda invested over 4 million yuan ($580,866.14) in upgrading equipment late last year, doubling production efficiency and improving product precision.
Having entered the artificial leather industry in 2007, Borda invested heavily to relocate from Wenzhou to Liandu in 2020, launching production within just 11 months.
Wang said that the company invests over 6 million yuan annually in R&D, which accounts for a quarter of its total expenditure.
This commitment has led to the development of hundreds of new products featuring various processing techniques. The company's self-developed embossing devices are able to create custom patterns and logos for international brands.
To meet the higher standards required for top-tier international supply chains, the enterprise has not only upgraded production equipment but also established a digital management system covering the entire process.
With a quarterly output value target of 50 million yuan and an annual goal exceeding 180 million yuan, Borda continues to strengthen its position in the international market, flying the flag for Liandu's manufacturing excellence through dedication and innovation.
