Longquan ceramics maker expands into industrial components
Zhejiang Jingtao Technology has begun manufacturing silicon carbide bearings, sealing rings, and other precision ceramic components, marking its entry into the high-value-added industrial ceramics sector and breaking away from its previous single-product lineup.
After commencing operations last year, the company initially focused on addressing pain points in Longquan's celadon industry. Its flagship product, silicon carbide saggers, offers high thermal conductivity and heat resistance, reducing firing energy consumption by 12 to 13 percent for celadon manufacturers and increasing kiln loading capacity by nearly 20 percent.
The energy-saving kiln furniture gained rapid market acceptance, leading to growing orders from local celadon makers and expanding sales to major ceramic hubs. Annual production and sales exceeded 30,000 units last year.
Building on this foundation, the company has leveraged its full capabilities in silicon carbide powder preparation, high-pressure forming, and pressureless sintering to extend its material advantages into broader industrial applications.
The newly launched bearings and sealing rings offer excellent resistance to acids and alkalis, outstanding wear and heat resistance, lightweight construction, and a high-quality surface finish, meeting requirements for mechanical seals, valves, and bearings in the aerospace, chemical, and automotive sectors.
As consumables with fixed replacement cycles and stable long-term demand, these products provide the company with a more resilient and sustainable source of growth. To support mass production, Jingtao has introduced pressing machines and is preparing precision equipment for both standard batch stocking and custom non-standard sizes.
The company plans to continue developing advanced ceramic products, aiming to establish a comprehensive product matrix and secure a competitive position in the national industrial ceramics landscape.
