The Zhoushan International Aquatic Products City Cold Chain Logistics Park in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, has a total investment of about 1.5 billion yuan ($206 million) and has finished 45 percent of its overall progress.
Once completed and operational, the park will effectively address the current shortages in cold chain logistics and warehousing facilities, limited development space, insufficient shoreline docks and operational sites, and traffic congestion. This will drive increased production and income for fishermen and promote the high-quality development of the entire fishing industry value chain in Zhoushan.
The cold chain service center building is expected to be topped out in early May of this year. Major construction projects such as the No 1 and No 2 cold chain central warehouses, opening and closing stations, and others, are progressing smoothly.
To accelerate the park construction and increase efficiency, the project team has been scientifically managing and coordinating arrangements during the construction process, ensuring strict quality control while maintaining construction progress.
According to Fang Jianbo, head of the park construction unit, the number of construction workers has increased from over 80 at the initial stage to more than 300.
