The U19 men's team of Telekom Baskets Bonn, from Bonn, Germany, took a break from intensive training at the 2026 China Student Basketball Winter Camp on Jan 30 to explore local attractions in Putuo district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province.

Upon arriving at Shenjiamen, they were captivated by the boats docked at Bainiu Square. Strolling along the harbor, the players eagerly snapped photos of the vibrant waterfront scenery.

Next, the group visited Zhoushan International Aquatic City, a bustling market with over 600 vendors offering fresh, frozen, and dried seafood.

At the Zhoushan Art Museum, they participated in a traditional fishing knot workshop, learning to craft eight-strand knots. The players embraced the challenge, with Felix Petermann, 18, proudly completing his knot and planning to bring it back to Germany as a gift for his parents.

Coach Francesco Tubiana said the cultural experience was a delightful addition to their journey.
