Celebrate Chinese New Year in Zhoushan

This Chinese New Year, Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province is offering a rich array of exciting activities across its districts and counties, blending tradition with innovation.

In Dinghai district, visitors can enjoy around 30 Spring Festival-themed events, including the "Horse Welcoming Spring" cultural activities at Dinghai Ancient City from Feb 17 to 19.

Putuo district will host approximately 21 events, including a drone performance show and a carnival. This innovative event opens on Feb 16, featuring drone light displays, interactive performances, and a lively market — beautifully blending technology and tradition.

In Daishan county, about 29 events are planned, such as a folk parade in Dongsha Ancient Fishing Town on Feb 17 and 21. The parade will include dragon and lion dances, horse lanterns, drum performances, traditional wedding customs, and artisan showcases.

In Lincheng New Area, around 14 activities are scheduled, including a Spring Festival series hosted by the Zhoushan Museum from Feb 7 to March 3. The event will feature interactive experiences such as writing Spring Festival couplets, tea tasting, riddle guessing, painting, calligraphy, and traditional games.

Shengsi county will host about 17 events, including a special series at the East China Sea Fishing Ground Museum on Feb 24.

This year, Zhoushan promises an unforgettable celebration of culture, tradition, and community.
