Huangyangjian village in Putuo district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, held a lively Lantern Festival celebration on Feb 28.

At around 7 pm, a parade led by a 5-meter-long fish-dragon lantern and accompanied by three smaller fish-dragon lanterns kicked off, filling the area with holiday cheer.

The Zhoushan Youth Yueju Opera Troupe performed a nearly two-hour-long show, blending traditional opera with a talk show on traditional culture. A series of folk performances, such as fire dancing, fire pots, and fire meteors, enthralled the audience with their dramatic displays.

The immersive, modern interactive experience also captured the attention of both locals and visitors. Nine employees dressed in clothes inspired by classic film and TV characters guided visitors through the event, with participants randomly drawing identity cards to take on roles and unlock tasks alongside the actors.

On the same day, more than 10 stalls were set up, featuring handcrafts, snacks, and trendy goods, offering visitors a lively mix of food, shopping, and interactive experiences.

The event, running from 10 am to 8 pm, featured a variety of cultural activities and attracted over 38,000 tourist trips.
