Xiazhimen International Maritime Service (Greece) IKE, a Zhoushan-based maritime service platform and a subsidiary of the Xiazhimen (Putuo) International Shipping Industrial Park, was launched in Athens on June 3 at the Posidonia China Night, a side event of Posidonia 2026.
This marks a new stage in Zhoushan's efforts to expand its international maritime service network and strengthen cooperation between China and Europe.
Backed by Zhoushan's strategic port location and shipping industry resources, Xiazhimen (Putuo) International Shipping Industrial Park has developed a comprehensive service ecosystem covering ship repair, bonded supplies, maritime technical support, crew services, and other shipping-related businesses.
Wang Guofeng, chairman of the industrial park, said Greece remains one of the world's most influential shipping centers and serves as a key gateway to the European maritime market. The new Athens-based company is expected to facilitate resource sharing and business cooperation between Chinese and European shipping enterprises.
The subsidiary will provide localized services for European shipowners and maritime companies while promoting Zhoushan's expertise in maritime services, vessel maintenance, and green shipping solutions. At the same time, it will help Chinese maritime businesses connect with European partners and explore new international opportunities.
