Zhejiang's foreign trade reached 2.97 trillion yuan ($440.17 billion) in the first half of 2026, up 8.6 percent year-on-year, according to Hangzhou Customs. Imports rose 6.7 percent to 703.16 billion yuan.

Trade with emerging markets increased 9.9 percent to 1.75 trillion yuan, while trade with developed economies rose 6.8 percent to 1.22 trillion yuan.

High-tech product exports grew 22.5 percent to 209.66 billion yuan, accounting for 9.3 percent of the province's exports. Exports of ships and marine engineering equipment and new materials rose 27.9 percent and 86.3 percent, respectively. Intelligent bionic robot exports reached 430 million yuan, accounting for 60.2 percent of China's total in the category.

Imports of mechanical and electrical products rose 17.5 percent to 124.63 billion yuan. Imports of integrated circuits, flat-panel display modules, and storage components increased 39.1 percent, 220 percent, and 160 percent, respectively.

Metal ore imports rose 17.7 percent to 83.75 billion yuan, while agricultural imports increased 12.1 percent to 61.67 billion yuan.
