Lishui received nearly 1.5 million tourist visits during the National Day holiday, including 979,000 overnight visits, up 4.8 percent year-on-year. Overnight stays accounted for 65.92 percent, 2.1 percentage points higher than last year and fourth in Zhejiang province.
The city hosted 182 key cultural and tourism events during the holiday. Visits from within Zhejiang accounted for 80.54 percent, while the remaining 19.46 percent came from outside the province.
Cultural brands and immersive experiences boosted tourism. Local areas developed distinctive scenes such as ancient-style fairs, heritage martial arts, She ethnic performances, and celadon and sword displays. Interactive performances with costumed characters made scenic spots more participatory.
New projects, including an interactive animal park and an ice-snow world, attracted visitors. An underground experience in Suichang linked to a popular game brand received over 4,000 visits and more than 1 million yuan ($149,279.76) in revenue on its peak day.
Consumption vouchers worth nearly 1 million yuan also boosted spending. By Oct 6, 40.9 percent had been redeemed, generating 3.25 million yuan, with each 1 yuan subsidy driving 5.8 yuan in consumption.
Many high-end hotels were fully booked, and daily sales at the Qingtian Imported Commodity City rose over 20 percent.
