Design Intelligence Award unveiled in E China's Zhejiang

The other winner, "Hello Ruby", is a creative picture book for kids, parents and educators that teaches programming in a fun way. The product started as a book, and now the book's main character Ruby continues her adventures in spin-off exercises, games and apps.

The other designs to win a prize included a baby stroller, travel backpack and 3-D knitted shoes from countries such as Japan and Norway.

Yuan Jiajun, acting governor of Zhejiang province, attended the ceremony and talked with the participating designers. He said that industrial design is an outcome of the combination of science and art.

The DIA event is expected to provide a boost to the development of industrial design in Zhejiang, which will be beneficial to transforming and upgrading the province's industrial structure, Yuan added.
