In Panama, Meet the Grand Canal was seen as part of the celebrations for the first anniversary of China-Panama diplomatic relations, and won strong support from the governments of both countries.

The delegation organized a series of cultural activities in the Central American country, including a visit to the University of Panama and talks with local officials on the Panama Canal.

Cei Wei, director of Meet the Grand Canal, said in the future the group will work closely with more countries with canal cultures and display traditional Chinese culture on a broader stage.
