Zhoushan Archipelago New Area was officially approved by the State Council on June 30, 2011 as the fourth State-level new area after Pudong New Area of Shanghai, Binhai New Area of Tianjin and Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing. It's also the first state-level new area focusing on the development of marine economy.

The video, featuring islands, beaches, coastlines, fishing zones, gongs and drums, temples of the Buddhist goddess Guanyin, and other scenes of the area, showcases the area's beautiful landscapes and unique islands culture through poetic and spectacular pictures.
