With an increasing number of resident foreign merchants in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, home to the world's leading small commodities market, more young expats, following their parents, are endeavoring to adapt themselves to Chinese society.

The official data showed that currently, there are around 14,000 foreign businesspeople from over 100 countries and regions living in Yiwu and every year, more than 400,000 overseas merchants come to purchase commodities. As a result, there are over 2,000 young expats younger than 12 studying and living in the city as well.

Influenced by the living environment, many foreign children fall in love with Chinese traditional culture and find much fun in celebrating Chinese festivals.
