The Yiwu International Trade Comprehensive Reform Pilot Zone will bolster the city's international trade and boost the growth of local economy, local officials said.

The zone's priority is to explore new measures, they said.

Focusing on free trade, the pilot zone will strengthen imports, exports and re-exports.

At the zone, a new type of bonded port area will be built and innovative systems will be used to aid trade and investment.

The zone will integrate markets, manufacturing, logistics, financial services, research and design to realize innovation.

It will also launch a reform filing system to allow new measures and approaches in a bid to become a free-trade hub.

The zone is expected to play a big part in management, the officials said.

The Zhejiang provincial government supports Yiwu in deepening its reform and opening-up. An administrative committee with provincial-level authority has been set up in the pilot zone to further the reform. New rules and regulations for the zone will be issued.

The zone has ample room for development, according to the local government. It will improve the coordination of regional development and strive to solve land shortages by optimizing layout and planning, as well as construction.
