Downtown Forest Park takes on a new look to reopen

The upgrading project on the Forest Park in downtown Quzhou, eastern Zhejiang province that started in October, 2019 recently completed construction and the park has now reopened to the public.

Invested with 20 million yuan ($2.82 million), the upgraded Forest Park of more than 2,300 mu (153.33 hectares) includes areas for ecological protection, natural ecosystems and entertainment.

The new added structures in the park including walkways, boardwalks and pavilions were erected so visitors can rest and admire the beautiful landscape.

The park's parking lots, lighting system, sanitation facilities, leisure seats and fitness facilities were all upgraded, as were the bicycle rental stops.

The makeover also included reconstruction of the foot-bridge and vehicular bridge in the main entrance area and placement of some lettered landscape stones to decorate the leisure square.
