Over 100 new energy passenger vehicles rolled off the production lines at Newgonow Group on June 13, marking another milestone in the manufacturing sector of Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
This batch of vehicles has been developed specifically for international markets and will soon be shipped to Southeast Asia.
According to Zhao Zixu, director of overseas sales at Newgonow, the company's exports now primarily consist of new energy light logistics vehicles and light passenger vehicles, with new destinations this year including Southeast Asia, North America, and Africa.
From January to April, Newgonow delivered more than 320 complete vehicles overseas, generating export value of over 36 million yuan (about $5 million). Newgonow's growing international appeal stems from years of targeted development efforts.
To address after-sales challenges such as long repair wait times, Newgonow has deployed technicians abroad and built spare parts warehouses in key locations to reduce delays and enhance service quality.
Support from Taizhou authorities includes assistance with trade exhibitions, tax policy training, and consulting. With full export qualifications for cars, freight vehicles, and medium- to large-sized buses, the company is aiming to further its role in the global new energy vehicle market.
