In the seventh episode of A Gift from Taizhou, Syed Rizwan Ul Haque from Pakistan visited Taizhou Mozen Cultural Creativity to experience traditional Chinese craftsmanship and create a wooden tray for his family.

Guided by Fan Qiusheng, he took part in every step of the process — sketching, chiseling, smoothing, and carving — using traditional woodworking techniques. As the piece of wood transformed under his hands, a refined square tray with elegant curves gradually took shape.

Through this creative process, Rizwan gained a deeper understanding of the precision, patience, and artistry that define traditional Chinese design.

Founded in 2017, Mozen promotes lifestyle aesthetics through woodcraft. The company follows the concept of "perceiving life through small things", preserving traditional handcrafting methods while merging classical elegance with contemporary design. Its creations — ranging from daily utensils and furniture to incense holders and art installations — reflect the harmony between traditional culture and modern living, offering a tangible link between heritage and creativity in Taizhou.
