With the coldest days of winter passed, plum blossoms in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, are now in full bloom.

In Linhai, within the Ancient City of Taizhou, visitors can explore the harmony between the blossoms and the city's history. The plum garden here is home to over 200 varieties, including rare 200-year-old trees. The best time to visit this plum garden is expected to be around Spring Festival.

For those seeking tranquility and fragrance, a plum tree planted by monk Zhang An of the Sui Dynasty (581-618) at Guoqing Temple in Tiantai is a must-see. Planted over 1,400 years ago, it is one of the oldest plum trees in China and has survived numerous hardships, yet still blooms every year.

Jiufeng Park in Huangyan is another prime location. The park is home to over 330 plum bonsais and hundreds of blooming trees, creating a picturesque scene with its traditional pavilions and surrounding architecture.

The Taizhou Botanical Garden, which opened for free on Jan 1, has quickly become a favorite spot for visitors. With over 100 plum trees in various stages of bloom, the garden showcases stunning varieties. The best viewing period will last until early March, offering visitors a prolonged opportunity to enjoy the blossoms.
