Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province received about 2.44 million tourist visits during the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, generating 42.92 million yuan ($6.28 million) in scenic area revenue and accommodating 17,703 overnight stays in star-rated hotels and rated homestays.

The majority of visitors came from the Yangtze River Delta region for flower-viewing, city leisure trips, and family vacations. Tourism demand showed a shift from basic sightseeing toward personalized, diverse, and higher-quality experiences. Major scenic areas experienced heavy foot traffic, with Shenxianju scenic area fully booked and the waterfall of Tiantai Mountain drawing attention online. Guoqing scenic area attracted tourists interested in cultural and educational experiences.

Rural and wetland destinations also saw high turnout. Yuhuan Xuanmen Bay National Wetland Park featured 60 hectares of rapeseed flowers and over 33 hectares of mixed blooms, with visitors exploring the area via a vintage train.

Urban streets blended tradition and modern culture, with Zhexi Old Street hosting poetry and music events, street dances, and immersive activities that drew large daytime crowds and evening visitors. Theme parks and family attractions, including Taizhou Fanta Wildland and Taizhou Bay Wildlife Park, offered spring-themed events, interactive games, and educational programs, attracting young people and families.

Public cultural venues enriched the holiday with creative workshops, traditional crafts, and exhibitions, allowing visitors to engage with Qingming customs and local heritage in meaningful ways while promoting environmentally friendly practices.
