Han Chao and Egyptian content creator Nouran Ahmed were invited to the village's cultural hall, where they explored community cultural facilities and participated in immersive activities showcasing local heritage.
The venue offers exhibitions on village history, a rural library, and digital cultural services, reflecting efforts to modernize public cultural spaces.
During the visit, the pair observed traditional crafts such as eggshell painting and decorative handicrafts, expressing interest in their intricate detail and creativity. They also enjoyed traditional performances, including the high-platform lion dance, gaining deep insight into local folk traditions.
The highlight of the visit was a village gala featuring locally produced performances, including opera adaptations and original dance pieces inspired by regional themes. Entirely produced and performed by local residents, the event offered an authentic glimpse into rural cultural life.
Nouran said the experience revealed the vitality of Chinese rural culture and added that she plans to share stories from Yuanqiao with international audiences through social media, aiming to present a vivid and contemporary image of rural China.
